Osman Augustin Perez Vehicle Crash Tobyhanna, PA Death and Obituary

TOBYHANNA TWP., Pa. — A tragic single-vehicle crash on Interstate 380 claimed the life of 30-year-old Osman Augustin Perez of New Jersey on Friday morning. Perez, who was ejected from a work van during the rollover accident, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono at 8:28 a.m.

Pennsylvania State Police report that the van, traveling too fast for slushy conditions, veered onto the left shoulder, struck a guardrail, and rolled multiple times. Two other passengers were transported with minor injuries and are currently stable. The cause and manner of Perez’s death remain under review, with an autopsy scheduled to provide additional details.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash, reviewing vehicle damage and roadway conditions as part of a detailed reconstruction. While the investigation progresses, Perez’s family and friends are left to grieve a life cut tragically short.
