Irina Kozak & Stanislaw Kozak Death, Obituary
Remembering Irina Kozak & Stanislaw Kozak
The community of Providence mourns the loss of Irina Kozak, 75, and her son Stanislaw Kozak, 49. Found together in a snow-covered vehicle outside a hospital parking lot, their passing on January 28 marks a deeply sorrowful moment that highlights both love and vulnerability in life’s most challenging circumstances.
For nearly a year, the mother and son lived together in their vehicle — a space that became their home, sanctuary, and refuge. Irina was a mother who shared decades of life with her son, and Stanislaw was a son whose life was inseparable from hers. Their story is one of quiet endurance, human connection, and steadfast love.
Though their deaths were weather-related and influenced by underlying health issues, their lives extend far beyond these circumstances. They were individuals with histories, memories, and relationships that mattered to those who knew them.
In honoring Irina and Stanislaw, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, dignity, and recognition of humanity in all people. Their lives may have ended in hardship, but their legacy lives on in the hearts of family, friends, and community.
Rest gently, Irina Kozak.
Rest gently, Stanislaw Kozak.
You were loved.
You are remembered.
