The community of Providence mourns the loss of Irina Kozak, 75, and her son Stanislaw Kozak, 49. Found together in a snow-covered vehicle outside a hospital parking lot, their passing on January 28 marks a deeply sorrowful moment that highlights both love and vulnerability in life’s most challenging circumstances.

For nearly a year, the mother and son lived together in their vehicle — a space that became their home, sanctuary, and refuge.
