Triple Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Summersville

At approximately 5:05 p.m. on February 19, 2026, Nicholas County 911 received a report of multiple victims at a residence on Ashley Lane in Summersville, West Virginia. Responding officials found Nancy Lindwedel, Dawn Morrow, and Douglas Morrow deceased.

Preliminary findings indicate the incident appears isolated, with evidence suggesting Douglas Morrow fatally shot his wife and mother-in-law before taking his own life.
